This is something that teachers can also use to determine how to assess students too, because if one student is better with writing and another is better with visuals, let them complete their different works and assess them over the content. Each may know the same things but do not know how to explain it and present. Students are able to complete a test on this site to learn what their multiple intelligences are to learn about themselves in order to learn better.

  This website offers a multiple intelligence test for students aged 11 and over. Questions are posed using age appropriate language and scenarios to determine a child's strengths. Results are shared in a graph and indicate linguistic, logical, interpersonal, intrapersonal, musical, visual/spatial, naturalistic, and kinesthetic intelligence. This is great for both students and teachers because it outlines the strengths of all students. It also focuses intelligence on not only the core subjects, but also recognizes other strengths. I would use this early in the year with my students to get a better understanding of the learning styles of the children in my classroom.

Set-up for secondary and post-secondary learners, the questions in this exam, if answered honestly, will give insight as to what level your multiple intelligences are. At the end of the test, you can save the information in order to see the chart again, print or re-take the test. Additionally, a teacher can have a group take the test and submit secret codes to total up the results from boys, from girls or the class as a whole. The results of this can aid a teacher in planning differentiated instruction that meets the needs of the students.
