Sandra FeyThe National Archives provides many primary documents. Looking at the site, I also found the teacher resource section really helpful. Some of the things that can be found there are how to find primary resources and how to use them. For teachers and librarian that are new to using this resource, or new a refresher, I think it will really benefit them.

Amber BlairArchives.gov offers a section designed just for educators. There are lesson plans and reproducible sources that can be used to teach American History. Teachers can find lessons based on specific historical time periods. Educators can also find professional development opportunities. There is a section for state and regional primary resources, but I noticed that Nebraska is not on the list.

gina stefaniniThe National Archives’ Digital Classroom offers a multitude of resources for the use of primary sources in the classroom. With access to copies of primary documents from the holdings of the National Archives of the United States, teachers can develop their own activities and lesson plans that make historical periods come alive for their students or choose from dozens of resources that have already been developed and are featured here.

William PughThe National Archives: Teachers' Resources website is a perfect example of how to provide high quality, useful, and accessible online resources for educators. The site is incredibly simple to navigate and provides enumerable tools to make finding and creating interactive learning activities tied to primary sources easy. We loved the DocsTeach Section, Lesson Plans & Activities, as well as all the other resources provided to help educators make the most out of the National Archives. In addition, they provide links to professional development opportunities for educators, and a multitude of ways to keep up-to-date with all they have to offer including YouTube, Twitter, Flickr, blogs, and much more.
The National Archives has developed this site to give teachers an array of resources to use in their classroom, and their offerings range from first-hand accounts of the Civil War to information about summer teaching workshops. The three main sections on the homepage include "Featured Activity", "Featured Exhibit", and "Professional Development". The "Featured Activity" includes collections of primary documents, accompanied by teaching guides, discussion questions, and other helpful items. One such collection includes "The Constitution at Work", which helps students learn how to analyze a number of key documents and then determine their connection to the U.S. Constitution. On the right-hand side of the page, visitors can find the "News, Events & Notices" area, which includes links to social media, regional events and programs, and information about National History Day.History primary sources national archives documents images media
