we think of calendaring as an information place, and we always split communication versus information, but in fact, they're a blurred thing, calendaring is very much a communication tool,
because if you block access, particularly in IT companies, staff find workarounds.
I have been in Germany where I watched this whole office going ‘ding ding ding ding' with their friends because they were using e-mail as IM because they were not allowed to have IM up
I think the whole point is that there's a cultural change going on. And it's not really a complete change because if you remember back to the 9 to 5 job, you're still placing calls to the doctor because you can't call [the surgery] after 5 pm, because it’s closed.
