Bonnie BlagojevicLibrarians are often a great source for information. Here are websites they recommend for kids, on various topics. (I enjoy reading content for children sometimes, to help me better understand certain concepts in science, etc. as it is understandable and often simpler/quicker and in a form that makes it easier to share with young children.)

fivbert Mrs V'BERTGreat Sites for Kids has been around for a while and just keeps getting better. It is continually being maintained and updated by the ALSC’s Great Web Sites for Kids Committee. Each site is put through a rigorous evaluation before being added to the directory. Sites are judged on such criteria as authorship, purpose, design and stability, and content. Sites are organized by subject categories including animals, literature and languages, mathematics and computers, the arts, history and biography, sciences, social sciences, and the reference desk. All the listed sites are appropriate for children up to age fourteen. A special section lists sites that are of interest to parents, teachers, and caregivers.
