The West, undoubtedly, is or will become caught up in the same type of game as the terrorists themselves: using spectacle and perception to fight a global war. In this theatre of terror, he called 9/11 the “first attack in the world war of the spectacle,” where the deed itself may not be as important as its perception. Promoting the ability to think critically, evaluate arguments, and maintain moderation and debate in time where the media is a pervasive force in society is his current goal.
