Crista AndersonTwitter is a free social networking and micro-blogging service, that allows its users to send and read other users' updates (otherwise known as tweets), which are text-based posts of up to 140 characters in length. Twitter is an excellent tool for teacher professional development and, in my opinion, is critical for building a varied and widely dispersed personal learning network (PLN). Because it takes some time to build a network of people that you follow, Twitter's uniqueness isn't revealed immediately.
