Emily BeckerOver 150 years of New York Times journalism, as it originally appeared. Browse the newspaper archives, from Volume 1, Number 1 through 2002. This website/archive is probably one of the coolest resources out there (especially when teaching secondary and primary sources.) I just used this source today when I was teaching research to a 7th grade Language Arts class and I know for a fact that I will be using this source again.

Times Machine is a wonderful database of New York Times articles that allows students to access exact digital copies of the famous newspaper dating back to 1851. With articles about everything from the sinking of the Titanic to death of President Lincoln, this is a valuable resource that can be used as source documents in history class or for many other classroom uses. -
