aloreto1.) This website is created for teachers, especially history teachers, in mind. This is funded by the U.S. Department of Education to provide teachers with access to resources and materials, like articles, premade quizzes, and a searchable database on state standards.
2.) During my unit on Native Americans, I would use this website to look up information on my topic and use the lesson plan reviews and teaching guides. I could also use the premade quiz to test my students knowledge on Native Americans.
3.) I think this website is a great resource for teachers to use on all kinds of history unit plans. Teachinghistory provides ideas for educators throughout the school year and is a supplement help. -

Kate HerzogStellar collection of U.S. history content, lesson plans, best practices
Pros: Explore tons of topics and a wealth of killer teacher-created content; lessons address tons of critical skills and offer helpful teacher tips.
Cons: The amount of resources available could be overwhelming; revisions may be necessary to make the lessons meaningful for specific student groups.
Bottom Line: A gold mine for any U.S. history teacher, appropriate for every grade level. -

husker94Teaching history has over 440 resources for teachers to use in teaching history, with a major focus on using primary sources. These resources are organized into categorizes such as teaching guides, examples of history thinking, and teaching with textbooks. I selected this source because it provides various lesson plans than can be used by themselves. I like that I could also use these resources and lessons to model ones that will meet the needs of my students.
