tranchefile numériqueThis blog is an attempt to give students a voice in where the future of education is headed. But do not let the idea of listening to students turn you away: for everyone here is also a teacher. We are a team from across the globe, and this is our time. Every post is reviewed for quality: not just anything will be accepted. You will find no improper grammar or truncated ideas here. In fact, you may well learn a thing or two about excellence in writing; we certainly hope you are willing to learn from a generation of student teachers.

Paula TousignantWe are students: the ones who come to school every day, raise our hands with safe questions, and keep our heads down. Except, now we have a voice—a strong voice—to share our ideas through a global network.
Blog created and maintained by a group of high school students. -

The fact that teachers consistently remain where students don’t is painfully obvious. It’s natural that students move on and stop caring extrinsically about their grade in English or how to integrate blogging with their classroom. They’re able to blog and find their own life teachers for themselves.
Students come into the edublogosphere and then they leave it just as quickly.

To connect with today’s students, you must not only teach them, but encourage
them to teach back.

Vicki DavisBeen watching this group blog of students and want to share it with you. At over 1000 readers strong, this is an educational blog to watch -- students are speaking out. Who is listening?
Of course, teachers IN the classroom had better be listening. I hear my students thoughts in person and on our class blog, but how many teachers truly ask and how many listen? Even more so, how many administrators or curriculum directors listen and are involved.
Good teachers listen to students and know when to say yes and when to say no. However, it is great that now students can speak out! -
Paul McMahonIf I ever doubted that students themselves can be refelective about the way that they are taught, this has banished all doubt!
