white109On the Kathy Schrock webpage I found many different useful tools that I could use in my classroom. I looked into the special education section and found many helpful ideas and ways of dealing this students. I found tools like pictureSET which allows a teacher to have picture that can be put on a clock so that when the bell rings they can visual see what is next and what is to be expected. This program can help smooth transitions through the day. They also had a section under the same category for sing langue.

gretahandelI chose to focus on middle school social skills. Such skills as dealing with bulling and conversation skills. What I liked from the website is the lessons and how the lessons were outlined for the teacher to provide for the students. I found the questioning techniques interesting.

Renece McMorrisKath Schrock's website has a lot of information pertaining special education. I like the resource about American Sign Language. The site presents hundreds on signs. Occasionally, I do work with children who are deaf and sometimes I forget signs. This will be very convenient for me. ED422RM

carly o'brienIn the 'Subject Area' I explored the Special Education section. I am pursuing my Concurrent Spec Ed/Multi Subject Credential so this would be a wonderful resource for me. I was observing a class last week and the teachers would integrate students from the special ed class and the regular ed class and they would all use sign language. I see that sign language is a resource that I can tap into from Kathy's site and I plan to utilize this source.
In the 'Teacher Helpers' section I checked out Kathy's blog. As a future educator, I plan to use resources like this to stay up to date with my peers and to learn more about the functioning of an everyday classroom. I liked her blog about the Ipad in the classroom. -

Cori MartinThis part of Kathy Shrock's webpage gives resources for Special Education, Counseling, and School Psychology. As a Speech Language Pathology Student, these topics interest me because in that profession I will be working with a lot of students with special needs.
