ASP（Application Service Provider，即应用服务供应商）作为一种业务模式，是指在共同签署的外包协议或合同的基础上，企业客户将其部分或全部与业务流程的相关应用委托给服务提供商，由服务商通过网络管理和交付服务并保证质量的商业运作模式。服务商将保证这些业务流程的平滑运转，即不仅要负责应用程序的建立、维护与升级，还要对应用系统进行管理，所有这些服务的交付都是基于互联网的，客户则是通过互联网远程获取这些服务。
