benscholsThis website is very interesting. When you load it up, there is an array in which you can click on a content area and grade a student might be in. This is by far the simplest approach to getting from point A to B. Grades range from pre-k to 12 and when you click on a tile, more subparts of the bigger concept are shown to practice a specific unit learning in class.

Megan O'NeillAt the National Library of Virtual Manipulatives, you'll find activities for every area of math at every grade level. Need to teach shapes to preschoolers, for example? Try the Attribute Blocks, which challenge students to sort virtual objects. Working on functions with middle schoolers? Drop numbers into the function machine to identify the pattern.

lwagner3The National Library of Virtual Manipulatives (NLVM) is an NSF supported project that began in 1999 to develop a library of uniquely interactive, web-based virtual manipulatives or concept tutorials, mostly in the form of Java applets, for mathematics instruction (K-12 emphasis). The project includes dissemination and extensive internal and external evaluation.

rlakowiczThis website provides virtual manipulatives for pre-k through 12th grade. Some of the manipulatives include money, base-blocks, color chips for sorting, and fraction charts. This is a great alternative to classroom materials, especially those that the classroom might not have readily available.

slennisThe National Library of Virtual Manipulatives site allows you to have online access to different virtual manipulatives that makes teaching math much easier for the teacher with students who may need just a little extra help. Anything that would take you quite a bit of classroom time to draw and explain on a white board- is already available for you to use and display.

Michelle Dubbsa. The NLVM is broken down into grade chunks and smaller math content areas. Each section contains manipulatives that can be displayed on a tablet or projector to model mathematical concepts. Many of the manipulatives can be found in multiple areas as they address multiple standards. The Function Machine and Function Transformations tools come in most handy for me.
