  i think that the loneliness and longing to find someone to talk to causes them to be hooked to the computer because it's probably the only place where they can chat with someone online without much spending of money and because, nowadays, there're games where they allow different people from all over the world to chat with each other while playing the game and the person gets to talk to someone and it sorts of brings their loneliness, somewhere else, temporarily.
