根据港大学生会规定，公投须获得至少10%会员的投票才能有效。周五晚上，参加投票的学生达到2668人，超过总数25%。
发起这次罢免议案的学生陈巧文在投票后表示，这一结果显示港大学生明辨是非与平反六四的立场坚定
