  • If you want to find others researching the same people, places, things that you are, Diigo can help you make connections.  Using the Search People feature, you can find people researching the same sites and topics you are.
  • For each of those users, I receive a display similar to mine shown here with the addition of a Common Tags category showing tags I have in common with them.  Each user’s display includes a Common Stuff link which will display the friends, groups, tags and bookmarks we have in common.  If any user appears to be interested in the same areas I’m researching, I can use Diigo to send them a message and/or a friend request.  That could kick off a conversation allowing us to explore what else we have in common and perhaps even share our research efforts.

  • Use the By Tags search option to find users who are adding specific tags to their bookmarks - like Huguenot or Bavaria or Civil War.  Search People gives you many ways to find like minds who may be able to help your research efforts.

     

    Networking.  Without visiting a gas station.  Life is good.
