The online networking site LinkedIn was inaccessible for about an hour Friday just a day after a major update with new features and a special message from Microsoft Corp. Chairman Bill Gates.
And no one even noticed. LinkedIn is the virtual version of a Rolodex. It sits there till you need to find one of your contacts to see if they know someone who can help you. IMHO LinkedIn lost it's luster when the novelty of connecting with people online wore off. I'm not saying LinkedIn is irrelevant I think it missed it's opportunity to sell of a year or two ago, make a few hundred million and go start something else.
