I worked with a colleague on an example document and gave the class a running commentary as to what we were doing. As we worked we talked to each other and I underlined some of the key features of what made that short demo collaboration successful for us.

William FerriterAn interesting post from the Google Docs Blog that includes suggestions from a teacher in England who introduced collaborative document creation to his students last school year. Specifically, his point is that students need more than introduction to individual tools. They need introduction to the process of collaborating with others.
