Using alphaWorks Services, developers, businesses and universities can easily access emerging technologies over the internet directly from IBM R&D labs, and provide real-time feedback to the technology owners.
IBM attempting to get back into the emerging technology realm. I think this is a great idea, but very limited. For something like this to work, it'd have to contain more than just beta (alpha) testing of one company's products. The information sharing part would be invaluable though.
