英語の質問はその類型別に「役どころ」がいくつかあります。例えば、一つのパターンは、yes/noでは答えられないような where, whenなどの疑問詞で始まる質問をすることから始まります。その上で、相手の答えの中の一点に焦点を合わせて、You said なんとかかんとか、Does that mean...? ともう一歩踏み込んで行くというものです。
