Decades of tuberculosis control efforts could be reversed by rising drug resistance. Especially lethal strains are spreading with alarming rapidity, and no country is safe.
That's the disturbing message from the World Health Organization, who today released their fourth and largest global survey of drug resistance in tuberculosis, a respiratory disease that kills more than 1.5 million people each year.
