사용하던 리눅스를 지울 때, 파티션만 삭제하는 경우가 있습니다. 그런데 이렇게 하면, 다음 번 부팅 시 부트 로더인 GRUB이 부트 파티션을 찾지 못하기 때문에 시스템 부팅이 안 될 수 있습니다. 따라서 이럴 땐 'MBR'이라는 것을 복구해야 합니다. 보통 MBR을 복구하려면 윈도우 시디를 넣고 fixboot 명령을 내리는데, 우분투 시디를 이용하는 방법도 있어서 소개합니다.
