Alexander MacIndoe almost sleepwalks through life without apparent aim or ambition, almost never making a decision, ready to accept with acquiescence anything that comes his way. The one great interest in his life, Megan, who for a short time brings him to life, sadly shares the same belief - that she is not meant for long term relationship and happiness. A melancholy story beautifully observed. The detailed descriptions of the memorable moments of his life provide an excellent, thoughtful and engrossing read.
