  • TIP OF THE MONTH. I bought a large mesh pencil can/holder at a discount store. I keep it in one of the cup holders in my car. It holds pens, sticky notes, gum, antacids, spare change and other items I am always looking for in my car but can never find. It looks like a neat and tidy organizer, not a leftover cup filled with junk.
  • TOWEL BRIGADE. I replaced the towel bars in the kids’ bathrooms with large robe hooks, one for each child. Then I assigned each child a hook to call his or her own and each a different towel color. This has saved on laundry because each child knows which towel is theirs and therefore uses it more than once. They are much more likely to toss their towel over a hook than fold it over a towel bar. (And if they don’t I know who it is because they all have different colored towels!)
